Hand-crafted in small numbers at the Lotus factory in Hethel, England, the 2006 Elise makes excellent
use of its award-winning epoxy-bonded aluinum chassis and finely-tuned independent suspension. This
offers the driver outstanding road feel, accuracy of steering and delivers performance numbers found
in cars costing several times as much.

The 190 horsepower engine has received a new engine-management system that improves response through
an electronic throttle. The new system has also reduced fuel consumption and emissions while maintaining
the high specific output needed to propel the Elise to 60 mph in under 5 seconds. The pedal assembly
has also been tuned for improved pedal feel.
