The T4 Eurovan was produced from 1990 through the early 2000s when they were replaced by the T5.
This was only one major change during the production lifespan of the T4 which occurred in
1994 when the front end was re-shaped. This changed allowed the VR6 six-cylinder engine to
be mounted in the engine bay. This move greatly improved the vehicles performance. Those
vehicles that were given this re-shaping were called the T4b with the versions retaining
the original look being dubbed the T4a.
The V6 is the same engine used in some of Volkswagen's performance sedans. New cylinder
heads for the 2001 model year bumped horsepower from 140 at 4500 rpm to an impressive
200 horsepower at 6200 rpm. The power increase came from improved breathing, four-valve-per
cylinder heads replacing the three-valve heads on the 2000 model.
Blue on Grey 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan.
Options include: Automatic Transmission, 201HP 2.8 litre V6, DOHC, 24 valves,
15 degree VR6, Air Conditioning, AM/FM/cD Player, Power Windows, Power Locks, ESP,
Traction Control, ABS, Climatronic' dual-zone automatic climate control and Factory Alloys.
Overall this Sporty Passenger Van is in good condition, both the exterior and interior
showing normal wear. Drives and handles extremely well, considerably bigger and taller
than a typical minivan giving the driver a panoramic view forward.
